Somalia’s government on Wednesday condemned Israel’s assassination of hamas leader ismail haniyeh in the Iranian capital Tehran, saying that the killing was a violation of international law.
‘’This act is violation of international law and international humanitarian law.Somalia is concerned about the escalation of violence that could lead to further violations against innocent civilians and possibly spark a large scale armed conflict in the middle east,”somali ministry of foreign affairs said in a statement written in Arabic.
‘’Somalia condemns political assassinations and violence in all its forms. We emphasize the necessity for the international community to fulfill its responsibility and take immediate actions to impose a ceasefire on the Israeli aggression against Gaza and to address violations of international law and united nations resolutions.”
